User Manager/V3 VS V4

In RouterOS version 4 User Manager test package was introduced, having major functionality and interface changes:

• Profiles used instead of Credits, allowing users to have different limitations based on time of the day and day of the week, having different speed limits based on used download, upload and uptime
• Radius CoA support added, enabling User Manager to send [[User Manager/Session | session] termination and modification requests to radius clients (HotSpot, PPP, Wireless). In version 3, User Manager was only able to handle requests from radius clients, being unable to terminate or modify a running session
• Subscribers are no longer used. Instead users and routers now belong to a particular customer
• Each customer can have its own users/ routers and share parent users/ routers
• Each customer has access to users/ routers belonging to any of its child customers
• Language support introduced
• Style customization introduced
• User Signup page customization introduced
• Templates for user data export introduced. In version 3 only CSV and voucher templates were available
• Reports available in HTML and CSV format
• Timezone can be specified for each router. In version 3, time zones are fixed for each subscriber
• MAC binding introduced
• Simultaneous session limit for each user introduced
• Wireless encryption attributes added
